China has allowed the entry of all over 200 Samsung Electronics engineers into the state, creating an exception to its barring of foreigners during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The engineers arrived in Xi’an, China on Wednesday and had been despatched to perform at the tech giant’s semiconductor plant that is primarily based there, Samsung confirmed.
They have been airlifted to the metropolis through a selected Air China plane, a spokesperson stated.
The engineers will be quarantined for a period ranging from a person 7 days to two dependent on what Chinese authorities deem to be necessary ahead of allowing them to enter the plant to perform on its planned enlargement.
